AI's Impact on My Professional Journey
Last year, I was a mere spectator, evaluating artificial intelligence from a safe distance. Intrigued yet restrained by skepticism, I decided to test the waters with a tool named Midjourney. Result? Hours spent wrestling with it, only to face disappointment.
Next up, I explored Copy.ai and ChatGPT. But our tryst mirrored my previous AI trials – high hopes dashed by unimpressive outcomes. My skepticism started morphing into apparent wisdom. AI, it seemed, was all hype and no substance.
The Turning Point: World Economic Forum 2023
Fast forward to the World Economic Forum 2023. Surrounded by peers exchanging experiences with AI, I couldn’t help but revisit my own dismal journey. Around the same time, I was gearing up for a lecture at the University of Zürich on Marketing in the Digital Economy. The confluence of these events resulted in a revelation.
What if my AI failures were not about AI’s inadequacy but my approach?
Embracing this new perspective, I plunged back into the AI world. My presentations transformed from monotonous to interactive, loaded with AI-generated insights. Utilizing ChatGPT as a source of inspiration and to ignite my creativity, my work took on a new dimension. By freeing me from the time-consuming task of grappling with data, ChatGPT allowed me to devote more energy to fostering innovation and exploring new ideas. It became a catalyst for creativity, enabling me to delve into uncharted territories and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Embracing AI and Igniting Creativity
The highlight of this journey was a AI in Action workshop we conducted in Zurich.
Picture this: a diverse group of business people and technology enthusiasts, all eager to unravel the secrets of AI, gathered in one place. The buzz of curiosity around the room was like electricity, and it only amplified as we dove into the world of AI, its potential and its practicality. Sharing our AI experiences, witnessing AI reshape businesses firsthand, was a testament to the leaps AI has made.
If you missed out on the Zurich event, don’t fret! We’re taking the stage at the Swiss Startup Days on May 25th, 2023, where we’ll be showcasing the fascinating world of AI in the vibrant startup scene.
